M.S. Automotive Tehnician
Foot Pain and was told he would need surgery for his feet!

My name is Mark, and I`m and Automotive Technician for the past 20 years. I`ve developed stiffness in my neck, lower back, and severe pain in the bottom of both of my feet. My problems have been pronounced for the last 2 years.

I`ve visited a Podiatrist and received several cortison treatments along with very expensive foot orthotics, followed by physical therapy for both back and foot pain. My problems would subside a couple of weeks, but then return. The Podiatrist`s final solution would be to surgically remove a nerve from both feet. (Very Scary) Which would mean being out of work for 2 to 3 months (What to do?)

My wife Cathy, who works in the Glencoe area heard about Dr. Bruhl`s Chiropractic Care, and decided to make a phone call to see if these painful symptoms could possibly be treated with Chiropractic Care. Since June of 2004 until present (6 months) I`ve received healing care through Chiropractic treatments, along with Nutritional guidance and exercise, and have developed more movement in my neck and body, and the pain in my lower back and feet have extremely diminished.

After following Dr. Bruhl`s healing plan, I feel I`m more aware of how the spine really affects the whole body.

As of today my wife and I are both receiving Dr. Bruhl`s healing ability through Chiropractic Care, adn are extremely grateful for his knowledge and kindness towards all of his patients.

Autistic son

My son, Christopher, is a ten year old autistic boy. He's in a special program for autistic children in Lake County. He's included in regular classes for reading and computer lab. Computers and reading are his two favorite past times when he's at home. He loves music and his favorite time of the year is Christimas and winter.

I brought Chris to see Dr. Bruhl 2 years ago. Chris has a sleep disorder. He was very lethargic and didn't talk very much. Dr. Bruhl was very patient with Chris and after a short period of time he was able to do adjustments to Chris.

The improvements that we've seen in Chris over the last year are phenomenal. He's alert, happy and thinking like crazy. Thanks to Dr. Bruhl's expertise we've gotten our son back. He's doing very well in school. Chris's teachers say he's the smartest child they have had in class in a long time. What more can we ask? We continue to maintain Chris's health with bi-monthly visits to Dr. Bruhl.

Ear Infections and spinal curvature

To Whom It May Concern,

Dr. Bruhl has truly helped my sons, aged 3 and 9, get healthy and stay that way. We have been coming to Lakefront Chiropractic Center on a regular basis for 2 1/2 years. In fact, he has help my sons so much that I've started coming to him myself! Dr. Bruhl is a caring compassionate, involved professional that truly cares about our continued health and happiness. My boys actually enjoy coming to see him because "he makes us feel so good." I highly recommend him.

Although he has significantly affected the health of all three of us, the most dramatic improvement has been in my older son. He has always been prone to sickness, especially chronic ear infections. I took him to several different doctors but nothing seemed to help. Then I discovered Dr. Bruhl. AFter only a month or so of treatments with Dr. Bruhl, my son regained his energy, the color came back to his cheeks, he smiled more, slept better and was sick alot less often. Rib and middle back pain

Dr. Bruhl,

It is with both great anticipation and profound sadness that I find myself pursuing life's opportunities as my wife and I move to Scottsdale, Arizona. As I've seen you do so many times it's my hope that these words open another's mind to your healing powers. You're truly gifted and I've learned much from observing how you pass that gift along to others in your practice. Here's my story.

Five years ago I dislocated a rib while skiing. I treated the immediate pain with physical therapy. Though this improved the situation I still found myself experiencing chronic pain in the left side of my mid back area. After visiting my internist, and orthopedic specialist with little improvement, I turned to chiropractic care. The change I felt was real but not sustained. After roughly 1 1/2 years of Chiropractic care I relocated to Chicago where a friend of mine, and colleague of yours, recommended me to you. Your measured, medical diagnostic methods are outstanding. Through muscle measurement and x-ray diagnostics you provided me with a thorough understanding of several problems which combined to contribute to my chronic pain. Your diagnosis revealed scoliosis of the cervical spine, an off-center shift of the cervical spine to compensate for uneven leg length (due to an early childhood broken leg), subluxation of the upper thoracic area all combined with the previously diagnosed rib injury. You educated me on each of these abormalities and their cumulative effect on my spinal health. You then revealed a care plan to address each specific issue as well as general spinal health. One year passed and the change was gradual, almost unnoticable weekly, but cumulatively significant. The physical relief I felt was great but the medical proof was astonishing. Your one year exam showed a return of the "curve of life" to my cervical spine. Continuing care was a commitment I made early. I'me convinced that the results we witnessed and the pain relief I felt was the combination of your medical treatment and my dilegence in routine, continued care. Now, nearly 2 1/2 years later, the change in my life is real. I live today with chronic pain I endured for nearly 3 years. I also know that in my case, continued care is necessary to continued well-being. This change in physical health has also positively affected my mental health. A healthy mind and a healthy body go well together. I'm blessed to have crossed life's path with you and hope that this letter in some way helps others allow you to heal them as you did me.

Subluxation leading to the body signals of Migraine Headaches

Why did I go to a chiropractor?

For 25 years I have suffered with painful tension and migraine headaches and visited doctor after conventional medical doctor with little help or relief. I received many prescriptions, whcih treated the symptoms but did nothing to correct the problem. I was usually incapacitated by the drugs, which made caring for my three young children impossible. In March, 200 portions of the left side of my body began going numb and the only explanation a neurologist could give me after an examination and tests was that it was in my mind. A MRI and catscans proved to be asymptomatic. MRI x-rays of my cervical spine were ordered instead of lumbar views, at my expense.

I saw Dr. Bruhl for the first time in September, 2000 and cried tears of joy when he found ten (10) subluxations along my spine. With routine spinal and cranial adjustments my health has improved 75 percent. I have not visited the emergency room for a migraine since June, 2000. My daily Excedrin intake has diminished. My Imetrex injection prescription has not been filled since November, 2000.

Your Central Nervous System is the core of your health and when there is something not working properly, no matter how minimal, it can affect how you feel. Chiropractic care has helped both my health and my outlook for my recovery.

Frozen Shoulder, neck, back, legs, and foot pain.

I first went to Dr. Bruhl in July of 2000. I had broken my foot in Dec. of 1999 and the medical care I was receiving was not helping and I was developing other problems such as sever pain in my arm. My first session with Dr. Bruhl solved the arm problem. I started coming in every week to have an adjustment. I also started having a massage weekly. Both my shoulders were frozen and they have improved 100% as have my neck, back, legs and foot.

I can now sit on the floor without my knees locking. My neck and back feel 100% better. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I believe in Chiropractic Care and feel 10 years younger.

Colicky Infant

I am a practicing chiropractor who has recently become a parent. My practice focuses on the treatment of injuries to the spine and extremities. I have absolutely zero experience in treating children. As new parents, my wife and I found ourselves at the end of our rope. Our little bundle of joy was less than a joy to be around. Our son, Nicholas, was colicky and constantly fretting.
